I like Mohanlal

Mammootty, Shankar, Ratheesh and Mohanlal. Those were the popular and "fair" heroes when I was in school.

Mammootty was the hero of the women viewers. Mostly doing the characters such as IAS Officer, Advocate, Doctor or Engineer. Always represent the creamiest layer of the society. We see a very mature, naturally belonging to my next generation people, Mammootty. "He is not a my kind of a guy" - an alien. When I compare myself with him, I fail in all aspects with the characters of Mammootty

(a) He is very mature, I am not.
(b) He is a hero, I am a coward.
(c) He delivers powerful dialogs, I cannot
(d) He defends any attacks, I avoids attacks
(e) He is too masculine

Result: I dont like Mammootty

Shankar was a budding hero at that time. He dont have any sense of comedy. His face is always in the same posture. I dont like him

Retheesh was a hero is few movies. He looks good. Fights well in stunt seens. I like him very much

Mohanlal - I liked Mohanlal very much. He is very simple, at times very naughty. Never serious. He is like the boy next door.

(a) Lal is not very mature, in movies like Sanmanasullavarkku Samadhaanam - 1986 or Gandhinagar 2nd Street - 1986 or T P Balagopalan MP - 1986 he behaves a lot like less mature a person. He comes closer to me...

(b) He is too innocent and vulnerable - as most of my friends
(c) He doesn't throw powerful dialogs at the villains - comes still closer to me

Result - He enters my heart.

So my liking towards the heroes of that time -
1. Mohanlal
2. Retheesh
3. Sankar
4. Mammootty
